The duo François Medalle & Gilles (66 & 53 years old) from France are planning the trip of a lifetime with our BamBuk e-trike tandem: from Lyon to southern China!
We have been accompanying them for some time now. To be able to realise this trip, they designed and built the solar roof themselves with a few tools (some fastening parts for the roof) from us!
But what exactly is The Sun Trip?

Together on electric-solar bikes, they are embarking on their third big journey this year.
It starts in Lyon, France, and leads all the way to southern China.
One of the world's greatest terrestrial adventures, it's called The Sun Trip.
In doing so, they are setting an example for the mobility of the future using renewable solar energy.
A means of transport that is environmentally and barrier-friendly, healthy and independent of age, which in short: brings joy in movement and facilitates encounters.
The adventurers fulfil their dream together with this journey, they inspire, stand for humanity and joie de vivre!
And we are proud that our BamBuk e-trike tandem is part of this movement. Because our name also stands for sustainability, ecology, humanity, accessibility and fun on the move.
